OverviewHow about camping on a farm?
We have created a fun place for families to visit, play outside & stay the night outside if you choose. With woods to hike & a creek to explore. Wildlife to see & hear. And a pond to catch & release bluegill. A place to relax, unwind & get away from screens. A place to get back to nature.
Near the very center of Ohio, the CampFarm caters to primitive camping & has a few campsites that will accommodate small RV's (with no available hookups). We prefer to hear the frogs & owls instead of the sound of generators. There is no electricity at the extra large campsites & you'll need to bring in your own jugs of water.
Here on the farm, you can grow your own food, pick your own food, cook your own food & eat it too. Where else can you go camping & pick out your own fresh eggs for breakfast?
Most people stay for the peace & quiet, and the sunrise & sunsets. Enjoy what nature has to offer on our 20 acres, plus the many adventures nearby. The Cardinal Shooting Center is 4 miles away (a world-class facility for sporting clays, archery, pistol, target ranges). There are 5 state parks within 30 miles with boating, fishing, swimming beaches - Alum Creek State Park, Delaware State Park, Hoover Reservoir, Mt. Gilead State Park. The Kokosing River offers canoeing & rafting. And there are several very nice hiking & biking trails nearby including the Heart of Ohio Trail.

No exotic pets. Pets are never to be left unattended - coyote attacks are uncommon but they do live in the area. Two pets per campsite unless approved by the management. All pets must be caged or kept on a leash and be current on all vaccinations including rabies per state law. Dogs are not to be walked by children 10 years and under unless accompanied by an adult. Dog walking is allowed between the hours of sunrise to sunset – pets are more protective at night when they can’t see as well. Pet owners are responsible for picking up pet droppings and for their pet’s behavior. Allowing your pet to bark uncontrollably day or night will not be permitted and you may be asked to leave if you are not able to control your pet.
Aggressive dogs of any breeds are not welcome. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, and other animals, please leave it home. Camp owners retain the right to refuse admittance to any dog deemed a nuisance or which poses a hazard.
Our major insurance provider requires that we cannot accept breeds having a history of unfriendly and aggressive behavior to both other dogs and to humans. These breeds (pure & mixed) are Doberman, Pitt Bull, Chow, Rottweiler and Wolf hybrids.
Any incidents, accidents or bites involving a pet must be immediately reported to the management. Any pet that bites may be handed over to the Morrow County Health Department for a mandatory 10-day observation. Grins & Pickin’s CampFarm is not responsible for pet occurrences. Your homeowner’s policy should have a section in it that covers your pet. You are completely liable for your pet(s) and it is the pet owner’s sole responsibility for its actions.
No Nincompoops - The rules are common sense! No glass containers that can puncture our tires or cut our pets' feet. Quiet time at 11:00 pm per township rules. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times due to water feature on the property (frog pool, fishing pond & a creek).
